A Good Chair

I don't know what inspired this idea (you may actually question its "inspiredness") but I was thinking the other day about wanting a recliner chair. That thought prompted this post wherein I will mention my favorite all time chairs, in no particular order.
  • The Giant Bean Bag Pillow Chair--a bean bag similar to the one pictured has been in our family for some time now. My earliest recollection of it stems from some foggy memories from my Uncle Bernard and Aunt Judy's house. Since then the bean bag has made its rounds with me and my siblings. Currently its home is in my parent's basement where it is used as a landing pad for all the grandkids.
  • The Rocker Glider--this chair has been awesome for the 2+ years we've had it. My parents bought it for us before Addie was born. We have spent many hours in this seat rocking and singing Addie to sleep. It's awesome because it and the ottoman glide and the seat reclines and locks in position in case you decide to doze off after baby has done so. This chair currently is in my office and is used mainly for reading or as a bed for Addie's babies.

  • The La-Z-Boy--this is what I want for a graduation gift. It doesn't have to be the brand La-Z-Boy but in the same family. It needs to be plush, swivelable, reclinable, rockable and prone to put a person to sleep. My dad has had one for years and it's the much sought after spot when all the fam is in town. As far as chairs go I don't think it gets any better than this.
  • The Oversized Chair--along with our couch this is one of the first pieces of furniture Monica and I bought. We ordered it from the wonderful furniture store, Leisers, in Herscher, Illinois. This seat was a great first piece because it allows for two newlyweds to sit on it at the same time. I really don't see any drawbacks to this chair, I highly recommend it for everyone.
