- My neighbor, who cuts lawn professionaly, was mowing his lawn today. Seeing this Addie said, "Wanna watch Jason mow the lawn." Then moving to the window and looking out said matter of factly, "He has a nice lawnmower." I replied, "Yes, yes he does."
- We went to the "big person" library the other day and after doing what I needed to do Addie went toward the computers and said, "I wanna check email."
- When I came home from Panera today I was listening to music on my phone to which Addie said, "I wanna listen to your ipod."
- Driving down the road a few days ago we passed a school where some boys where having baseball practice. Addie looked at them and said, "Them boys playing baseball." If only my dad could have been with us in the car to hear that.
- Tonight Addie and I were playing catch with the tennis ball in the living room. Addie kept throwing it a bit short and it would hit the coffee table and bounce back at her. One time she picked up, laughed a bit, and said, "I'm having a hard time."

Addie, Technology, and Other Miscellanies
So Addie has been saying some pretty funny things lately and I wanted to get them "on paper" before I forgot them. In case you don't know Addie is 2 1/2 years old. Here are some things that have brought me joy lately:

Recent Audra favorites:
~ She has been narrating her own life as different characters and will refuse to answer to anything other than the name of the character she is pretending to be. For example, she might say, "'Daddy, I shouldn't want to pick up the toys. You should want to get me a banana, plee-ze,' said Harold."
~ Upon pooping in the toilet for the first time, she proudly reported to me, "I put snakes in the potty." I don't remember if she attributed the statement to one of her many personas.
~ One night after bedtime, she attempted to change her own dirty diaper. She did manage to use several wipes, but she missed one cheek. I'll let you imagine the rest. My nose led me down the hall to see what was happening. Apparently, the persona of the moment was mute.
Andy,
I laughed pretty hard last night when I read this. I wish Addie and Audra could live closer to one another. That was my way of saying that I wish we could see you guys more often, we miss you.
