Today is a special day for me. Really it's a special day for my whole family. Today is the 43rd wedding anniversary for my parents. On February 19, 1966 they pledged to love one another through all sorts of stuff and they have kept their word. As I approach my 5th anniversary with Monica I am grateful to my parents for the wonderful legacy they have given us kids. Just today I was telling my mom about how lately Monica and I have been giving Addie a snack of popcorn or something else before bed. The three of us will sit on the couch, usually with Pat and Vanna, and eat and laugh. I told my mom that that time is about more than the snack because during that time we just enjoy each other. I told her that I think Addie just likes having mom and dad around to which mom replied, "Kids find comfort in having mom and dad close by."
I couldn't agree more. Thanks mom and dad.
