- Addie went "pee-pee" for the first time on her big girl potty this morning. Pretty momentous. She got a star to put on her chart and a sucker at 6:45 am. If only I had incentives like that built into my day!
- Proof that I'm 30 and married and not 18 and single: I went to the grocery store last night around 8 to get Redi-Whip for our hot chocolate dressed in flannel pajama pants, white socks, LL Bean slip-on fuzzy slippers, and my winter coat. And I didn't even care.
- Financial planning gives me a minority complex like no other. I met with someone today from Fidelity to discuss college savings options and my 401K and hated every minute of it. If I haven't confessed this before I tend to view myself in terms of what I produce. Based on the looks I was getting from the financial professional when I told her our financial situation my self-esteem was in the toilet.
- I may be purchasing my plane ticket today to go to Europe in May! Diversify that Ms. Financial Professional.
- I love laying in Addie's bed while she falls asleep. Her breathing is so calming. It makes the world slow down a bit.

A couple thoughts:
-Going to the grocery store in slippers is proof that you are secure in your manhood...that's what I tell myself at least.
-I'm proud of you and the budget process though...yeah it sucks but it will set you free in the long run.
-We're going to Europe dude!
-One of my favorite moments is when Caleb asks me to "lay down with him just for a minute." He DEMANDS that I put my arm around him and I can feel his chest rise and fall. I would climb into Silas' bed too but I can't figure out how to get over the crib's rails without hurting my Tim-Bits.
